Our Origin Story
One night out in college, I noticed the new LED strips my roommate bought that would flash itself on and off to the beat of music. At the time, the effects were simple, but I thought it was the coolest thing to upgrade your dorm with.
Shortly after, 2020 quarantine hit, and I had nothing but time and a raspberry pi.
I discovered professional lighting setups that offered higher quality music syncing effects but were difficult to set up, I messed around with these effects for my initial prototype.
a prototype that was cobbled together using a gaming headset and a trusty old PC power supply.
Meanwhile, the average LED kits sold online were easy to set up but lacked advanced effect capabilities.
I spent the rest of the quarantine prototyping a solution that would bridge the gap between professional effects and easy onboarding. The result of my efforts was the Apollo - an easy to use plug-and-play system that offers highly customizable and advanced effects with continuous future updates.
Three years and countless iterations later, the end result is a product that truly delivers an immersive and unforgettable lighting experience.
